1956

Earnest “Woody” Wilson establishes Wilson Steel Company Inc. to serve the needs of the Kansas City Railroad.

1960 - 1969

Wilson Steel expands its service offering to address the warehousing needs of a major petrochemical company.

 

Wilson Warehouse is founded to serve the needs of Louisiana and East Texas.

 

To streamline warehouse-to-plant logistics, Woody establishes Pallets Associates to provide in-demand pallets.

 

Woody’s wife, Margaret Wilson, is named the company’s first female CEO.

 

Woody and Margaret’s son-in-law, Charles “Dick” Baldridge, is appointed President.

1970 - 1979

Catering to the increasing needs of the East Texas region, Pallets Associates evolves to offer transportation services.

1980 - 1989

Charles “Dick” Baldridge is named CEO.

 

Robert Baldridge designs proprietary software to integrate barcode scanning technology, streamlining Wilson Warehouse operations.

1990 - 1999

Robert and Wilson Baldridge take the reins, leading Baton Rouge and East Texas operations, respectively. They also serve as Vice Presidents for each other’s offices to maintain consistency.

2000 - 2009

Pallets Associates expands trucking operations into Louisiana.

2010 - 2019

The 5-Star Program is created to honor tenured employees with a gold star emblem name badge, symbolizing their commitment to the company.

 

Pallets Associates, now known as Sabine Transportation, becomes the first entity to join the Wilson Warehouse family of brands. With this official partnership, Wilson Warehouse strengthens its position as a full-service integrated third-party logistics (3PL) provider.

2020 - Today

Robert and Wilson Baldridge lead Wilson Warehouse in adopting best-in-class processes, offering additional services, and pursuing industry certifications to strengthen capabilities as a trusted 3PL partner.

 

Wilson Warehouse partners with the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) to co-found Supply Chain Baton Rouge (SCBR) in-person and webinar events—creating a platform for authentic discussions around timely supply chain topics.

 

Wilson Warehouse is verified as a Responsible Distributor by the Association of Chemical Distribution (ACD).

 

Wilson Liquids is established and joins the Wilson Warehouse family of brands to meet the need for high-quality handling, packaging, and redistribution of manufactured goods.
