Our Legacy

BATON ROUGE BORN. GULF COAST GROWN.

We are a fourth-generation, family-owned and operated 3PL company with over 60 years of experience in warehousing, transportation, and logistics. While our roots grow deep in our Baton Rouge and East Texas communities, our ties with each other are even stronger with many employees representing second and third generations.

BUILDING THE LEGACY.

We had a chance to sit down with a few of our most seasoned employees to learn more about each of their 50+ years of experience. Here's what they had to say.

What gets Earl excited about coming to work every day? “Driving that lift truck.”

EARL LANE
Since 1964

With decades under his belt, Earl has been with us since the beginning. Currently our longest-serving employee, he’s been around to train some of our other long-tenured employees including Clio Washington (1967) and Eddie Coates (1974). According to Clio “He acts as a big brother to the rest. When Earl talks, everyone listens.”

Earl has a perfect shipment record and an example of the success you can expect from enforcing our procedures.

Working with Family – His son, Coy, is a second-generation employee.

What gets Earl excited about coming to work every day? “Driving that lift truck.”

What does “We Got This” mean to Clio? “It means I’m going to take care of this. Doing it right and on time, every time.”

Clio Washington
Since 1967

As employee #3, Clio has seen the company grow from a small business to a large enterprise that has a lasting impact on the lives of its employees, customers, and community. “With each generation, the company changes and grows, but they always take care of us–the employees. We are all one big family.

Clio was supposed to retire in 2016 and 2020, but it wasn’t long before he was back in the warehouse. He says he came back because he misses us and our customers, but we know the real reason—he can’t resist a good Crawfish Boil.

Working with Family – His stepson, Derrick, is a second generation employee.

What does “We Got This” mean to Clio? “It means I’m going to take care of this. Doing it right and on time, every time.”

What makes Bernard most excited about our company's future? “Growth. We’re always adding new customers, getting more business, and hiring more employees that know how to do it right.”

BERNARD WOODS
Since 1967

Bernard’s a leader, not afraid to work extra to make sure the job gets done correctly for our customers. Starting at the company as a “checker,” his most cherished memory comes from the forklift operators who showed him the ropes during his first few months on the job. Bernard still remembers these men to this day because they taught him how to drive a forklift, and that’s still his favorite part of the job more than 50 years later.

When a team member is unsure of how to do something, they turn to Bernard for support. His peers joke that he’s “probably forgotten more about warehousing than we’ll ever know.”

What makes Bernard most excited about our company's future? “Growth. We’re always adding new customers, getting more business, and hiring more employees that know how to do it right.”
